Unique Descriptions
Give 'em a reason to spend it with you

Chances are you started your business because you saw a need that was not being met. The advertising you create is centered around this idea and it is what your customers have come to rely on you for.

A good start to determining the correct words and phrases to describe your business is to ask the following questions:

Do you carry one of a kind or hard to find items?

Do you provide service(s) that are highly specialized?

Why would someone drive twice a far to come to your store rather than stop at a competitor that is much closer to home?

Why would someone shop your store when they can get the same item at WalMart for less?

Ask your customers how they perceive you or how they would describe your business to a friend or acquaintance. This will give you a window into how your business is perceived outside your front door. Listen to what they have to say and look for anything different or unique descriptions they might use.

The answers to these questions are why you have customers banging on your front door rather than your competitors. Get these down on paper and edit them to the most concise, unique and descriptive terms possible and you will be ahead of the game.
